Wait! Before you give up!

1 SIMPLE yet EFFECTIVE tool from our mental strength training session revolving around

BUILDING a GROWTH MINDSET, get access to this full training recording withing the SUMMIT SOCIETY.

You know when you try something new or add more challenge/weight/distance on top of your training.. and at first it is SO exciting.

You start to think of what would be possible if you succeeded at it, and how good it would feel. REACHING THAT NEXT LEVEL. Or simply adding something to your list of abilities and skills.

Then after a few of those heavy reps, a few minutes into your new mediation practice, a few attempts at that quicker mile, a few falls off the bike or wall, you are ready to throw in the towel.

“THIS IS SO MUCH HARDER THAN I THOUGHT. I don’t REALLY need to do this. Where I am at is actually okay.”

THIS IS THE MOMENT WHEN I WANT TO INVITE YOU TO HOLD ON FOR A LITTLE BIT LONGER.

This is the moment in which TRUE growth occurs. You don’t progress within your sport, career, or projects by staying in your comfort zone and only challenging yourself when conditions and energy levels are PERFECT. You see the real progress when you get uncomfortable and push through a little bit further. You build the muscle to continue showing up and the trust within yourself that you can in fact DO THE DAMN THING.

Now I am not saying to push through with sloppy form and half a heart. I am saying notice when it is your mindset that is giving up.. not your body. Notice when the thoughts of “Is this worth it?”, “Maybe I can’t do it”, & “This is a waste of time” pop up.

And be HONEST WITH YOURSELF. Are you throwing in the towel because it actually isn’t aligned with your goals and the person you want to be, or are you throwing in the towel because it is demanding more of you than what you have given before.

If it is the latter, invite in the discomfort. Is it asking you to show up more determined and powerfully than what you are used to? GOOD.

Know that this is the beautiful the sign of growth you have been waiting for and get after it my friend!

Pull up those leggings and tighten those laces, sit your butt back down on your meditation cushion, get back on the wall or bike, and PUSH IT for just a couple extra reps, minutes, or attempts.

You might be surprised what happens next and the momentum it brings.
