As humans we are simple yet complex beings. This program addresses the whole human with skill building, mindset strengthening, and gentle nutrition guidance to help you get back in touch with your inner guidance.

These are curated in a SPECIFIC order to help you learn and grow with natural momentum and progression.
If some of these are review, come at them with an open mind. You might learn something new!
1) Body Positioning
This makes all the difference in conserving energy as well as allowing room for bike-body separation. This module might be a bit of a review for you, but this is the foundation to the rest of your skill development!
2) Braking
Braking is something that stirs a lot of fear within. In this video I show you simple body adjustment and ways to improve your braking so you can slow down with more ease.
3) Shifting
Our legs and body can become exhausted if you are not in the correct gear. Let’s learn how to use those gears to our advantage and find our powerful yet comfy pace!
4) Terrain Awareness
Find yourself hung up on features you weren’t ready for or going into the rock you were trying to avoid? Let’s talk about line of sight and how to stay on track!
5) Cornering
This is a skill as a coach I brush up on EVERY SEASON. You will learn how to corner with more ease, speed, and control within this skill video!
6) Front Wheel Lift
Let’s start to get those wheels off the ground with balance and focus! This is where it starts to get REAL FUN. Front wheel lifts can help you get up and over technical features smoothly while keeping your speed.
7) Rear Wheel Lift
Now that we have learned the front wheel lift, let’s move to the rear. Are you frustrated with your rear wheel dragging you down after getting over a feature with the front? This maneuver is the the perfect next step.
8) Pop!
Can you guess what this one is? We are going to get both wheels off the ground at the same time. This skill is going to bring more fun and air time to your riding in no time!
9) Pedaling Front Wheel Lift
This one is one of my personal favorites! I break it down step by step so you can stay seated while lifting up the front tire with little to no effort! It’s like magic!
The Holistic Modules
Onboarding, Bike Maintenance, & Goal Setting
Setting the container and laying the groundwork for the community and skills you’ll build over the next 8 weeks. We will also go over Bike Maintenance to make sure your bike runs smoothly all season long. AND goal setting, cause how can we start moving forward if we don’t know where we are going?
Beginners Mindset
Fear can come in many shapes and sizes. Let’s bring awareness to the fears that are holding you back and stunting your progression! Is it the fear of starting something new? of falling? failure? judgement? Let’s bring these out of the shadows so they no longer drive your rides and steal your joy.
Mindset Toolbox
Now that we have created awareness around the fears and where they come into play, let’s work through them. I will give you a series of tools and techniques to use on the trail and at home so you can work on overcoming these fears, struggles, and insecurities in a safe and supported environment.
Fueling and Intuitive Nutrition
I will give you the ground work for Pre-During-Post Nutrition and then we will get back in touch with your body and your needs. Stop looking outside of yourself. Each person will get a Food & Mood journal to help identify what works well for you and your unique dietary needs!
Building Endurance
Mountain Biking is all about endurance with spurts of power! We will go over how you can build endurance no matter what level you are at!

About your coach, Sam Crow.
Sam has always had a passion for nutrition and mindset, and noticed most people weren’t addressing these key players in their active mountain lifestyles. This led her to go back to school and get her Health Coaching Certification to add to her Wilderness First Responder and Mountain Bike Instructor Certifications. Bridging her two passions in life, mountain sports and wellness, she created the Summit Sister's MTB coaching program. Sam takes a holistic approach to mountain bike coaching with the goal of getting more women out in the mountains confidently and safely.

This 6 week Program Connects all parts of the sport:
Mind
Fears and Limiting beliefs come out to play when we are progressing at anything in life. Mountain Biking is no exception to that. This program dives deep into the mental road blocks and brings back the joy and excitement that comes with being a beginner at something.
Body
Body awareness and positioning on the bike are crucial for successfully performing maneuvers on your bike. You will receive step by step break downs of each maneuver as well as in person guidance. We will also cover how to properly fuel your body for hitting the trails. We will find out what your body thrives on and how to implement any changes that need to be made.
Spirit
There is no doubt, being in nature (especially on top of a peak you pedaled up yourself!) is a spiritual experience. Connection to your local land fills the soul in a way nothing else can. We will cultivate a spirit of awareness and compassion throughout this program. When your body and mind are happy and in sync and you sprinkle a little bit of dirt heaven into the mix, the spirit follows suit.
